Hey Kids! Remember reading the Magic School Bus: Inside the Earth the other day? Well now we are going to explore the inside of the earth like Ms. Frizzle's class did. Except we will be using the internet, instead of a magic school bus, to explore the inside of the earth.

Let's start digging!

The Challenge:
As explorers of the earth, you need to fill out your chart of the earth, so that we can remind our teacher of what the inside of the earth  looks like. On the chart you need to label the blanks next to each layer of the earth (example: crust). Then you need to determine which layer is the thickest and which is the thinnest (Remember, don't just look at the picture, but at the numbers). Finally, determine what minerals each layer is made of and write it on the lines at the bottom of the page next to the correct layer title. Once you have filled up the chart don't be afraid to continue exploring. Write any interesting facts you find on the back of the sheet.
