| Recycle Designed for a K-1 Class By: Emily King |
| Problem: Busy Town is in trouble, and needs your help! All of the citizens are so busy that they have forgotten to recycle. The recycle truck comes every Tuesday, but there is nothing for the recycle worker to pick up. Everyone keeps forgetting to put out their recycling. The town mayor is not even sure if they remember how to recycle because it has been so long since the citizens of Busy Town have done so. |
Challenge: The mayor has requested you inform the town the proper way to recycle, and why it is important to recycle. You can find this important information by looking at websites, watching movies, and playing games. When you have gathered all the information you feel is necessary please complete one of the three tasks: http://www.epa.gov/superfund/kids/alphabet/k.htm -Draw a poster conveying an important message about recycling and hang it up in a public building such as the town library or post office -Interview a student in another class to see what they know about recycling. Inform them of the importance of recycling, and what they can do to help. -Remind your parents that Tuesday is recycling day, and help them carry the  recycling out to the side of the
road. |
