A WebQuest Through Space
Journey To A Whole
Introduction: When you think
about the world, what do you think about? Do you think of planet earth where
the human population lives? Or do you expand your mind beyond that and think of
our entire universe? Our universe consists of other planets, moons, stars,
asteroids, and many other interesting things that can be explored. You just
found out that you are going on a field trip to outer space but there are a few
things you have to learn before you go. It is important to know where you are
going when you are there and what you should bring with you.

1) How far is each planet from the
sun?
2) What is the order of the planets?
3) How many moons does each planet
have?
4) Why do astronauts wear space suits?
5) What would happen if you came
across a Black Hole in your travels?
6) How should you prepare for the
temperatures on each planet?

Report: Once you have gathered your
information begin writing in your journal that you are going to take with you
on the trip. Talk about what you are going to take with you, what the best
order would be best to visit the in, and what you hope to see. Also talk about
the challenges you may have to face and how you are going to deal that.
Here are some Links that send you to
websites that will help you answer these questions while preparing for your
trip.
For some more help on answering these
questions use the following key words in a search engine of your choice. (For example www.google.com
or www.yahoo.com.)
“Solar System”
“Black Holes”
“Space Suits”
