Professor Fraid-i-cat

          Human Anatomy                                                          Grade 2-3

Halloween is near!  A family in one South Burlington home is working on costumes at this very moment.

Right next door lives Professor Fraid-i-cat.

He doesn’t have any kids.

Instead, he tries to scare the trick-or-treaters.

Last year he dressed up like a clown.

The neighborhood kids just laughed!

This year, he has a better idea.  He wants to make a full-body costume that shows his brain, heart, kidneys, and lungs.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t know what the organs look like, where they’re located in the body, or what they even do.

The professor needs your help.

Visit the website below:

Click on the links for brain, heart, kidneys, and lungs.

Read about the organs.

Then with a piece of paper,

·        Draw a picture of the human body.

·        Draw the organs where they belong.

·        On the other side of the sheet, write the name of each organ and one reason why that organ is important.

Turn the sheet into your teacher.  She or he will send your drawing to the Professor.
