Attention Fourth Graders Wow! What a fun field trip to the Perkins Geology Museum! 

Now that you have been lucky enough to see SO MANY different kinds of rocks,

let's take that knowledge and do some EXPLORING!

Your Challenge: We are now going to classify all the wonderful rocks we have seen. I'm going to ask you 

to IDENTIFY the three main types of rocks, NAME at least two examples of each, DESCRIBE how they 

were formed and TELL ME    all about what these rocks are used for. Your teacher will be handing out a 

chart for you to fill and I'm here to give you some HELPFUL links to guide you along this journey.
