Animals of the Continents
1st grade with assistance
The local zoo
has been having trouble attracting visitors to their exhibits. They have tried everything from having half
priced food on the weekends to opening free afternoon penguin shows to the
public, but they just can’t seem to attract enough visitors. After much thought and research, the zoo has finally decided that an exhibit with animals
from each continent would be the key to attracting enough visitors to keep the
zoo from closing.
Challenge:
Your
mission is to travel around the world and find one animal from each of the
seven continents that would attract visitors to the zoo. Once you have found the animal write down:
ü The name of the animal
ü What continent it is from
ü An interesting fact about the animal or the
continent that may interest zoo guests
