
Geologist it is time to talk about what makes Igneous,
Sedimentary and Metamorphic rocks different from one another. As professional
Geologist you need to explain to students what makes the three rocks different
from one another.
So gather up
your digging tools it’s time to get to work!! 
Your Quest is to find information about Igneous, Metamorphic and
Sedimentary rocks.
For this quest you will need:
Your science journal
A blank piece of paper to draw on
Colored pencils or crayons
A pencil to record your findings
Here is the information you are looking for on your Quest:
1. For each
rock you need to write a brief description of what you discover. Then draw a
picture of how the rock forms.
2. Find at
least two examples of Metamorphic, Sedimentary and Igneous rocks. Draw a
picture of each rock with your crayons or colored pencils.
3. Which rock
is called the “fire” rock? Which rock is “morphed” into another rock?
Which rock is formed from erosion?
