This webqest is designed for 2nd graders. In this
webquest students will classify plants as annual, perennial, or biennial.
Students will learn the life cycle of each catagory of plants and be able
to help Mrs. Marshall label the plants she has brought into the classroom
as either annual, perennial, or biennial. They will complete this
task by using information found on websites and keywords.
Introduction:
On Mrs. Marshalls way to school she
trips over a large crack in the sidewalk and all of the papers she is carrying
fall all over the ground. She had these papers in a special order
but now they are all scattered everywhere on the sidewalk. Mrs. Marshall
was going to teach a special lesson on plants today. She was giong
to teach about annual, perennial, and biennial plants. Mrs.
Marshall had brought in examples of plants from each category and had made
label cards for each telling if it was a annual, perennial, or biennial
plant and how long each plants life cycle lasted. She had placed
them in order so that she would know which label belonged to each plant
but when she tripped they all got messed up.
