Text Box: Have you ever wondered what happens to the food that you eat? All solid and liquid foods that enter our mouths travel through our body, being broken down into smaller pieces that our organs can use for energy. This process is called digestion.

You may do this on your own or with a partner. While you are traveling through your digestive system, there will be some questions that need answering. Use the given sites to help you find the answers. It’s time to get hungry!!!!

CHALLENGE

Locate information on the Internet about your digestive system.  Find out what organs are involved and the order in which the food passes through them; find out the importance of digestion and how food is actually digested.

Once you have done this, your job will be to create a poster for your fellow classmates.  It will be up to you to decide what you think should be put on this poster.  This poster should include drawings and information that will make your classmates more interested in what they eat.
