Burlington, Vermont: Saint Louis Street. This photograph was taken by Louis McAllister on May 25, 1942

The photograph was taken on Manhattan Drive looking north towards Saint Louis Street. The address of the building to the left is 99 Saint Louis Street. Almost in the center of the picture unpaved Manhattan Drive can be seen. A car is shown on Saint Louis Street. Almost out of view is a screened porch belonging to 102 Intervale Avenue. Behind 99 Saint Louis Street and to the right of Manhattan Drive no longer existing Elm trees can be seen. A white picket fence surrounds the house. To the right of the photograph there is a utility pole is leaning towards Manhattan Drive. This photograph corresponds to the McAllister photograph of 102 Saint Louis Street that shows road work being done in the same area, it is possible that that photograph is the before and this ifs the after showing the work on the utility poles.
