102 Saint Louis Street: Photograph taken by Louis McAllister on May 23, 1942
Built c. 1886
This residence is a rectangular two story building that is gabled front with a side facing gabled addition on the Saint Louis Street facing facade. The building was wood painted clapboard sided with varying sized dormered windows on the second story, the windows are one over one double hung. The building had a one story porch which can be seen in the above photograph in the space between the two trees to the right. This building is shown on the 1919 Sanborn map as a gable-front structure without the later back addition. The 1919 Sanborn map also lists this building as the street address 455 North Bend. Before1919 the street was listed as private and little information was available about the buildings owners. The 1926 Sanborn map shows the building with its current back addition,(which can be seen in the 1942 McAllister photograph. The 1926 Sanborn map also shows two other buildings on the property as well as another side addition to the main building that is no longer standing.

The current appearance of the residence at 102 Saint Lousis Street is realitively unchanged from the 1942 McAllister photograph in regard to its plan. The building's roof has been re-shingled. The windows are still one-over-one double-hung, but most have been replaced.
