This vernacular Italianate building is clad in shingles. The building is two stories and has an asymmetrical, slate clad roof. The building has a three by two bay, and additions have been added such as the two porches, and the stick style detailing.
This home was built for Nicolas Smith and owned by Martel C. Bernard. Nicolas Smith was a wheelwright, carriage maker and a carpenter, and lived there until 1906 when the house was marked as vacant. [36]
