The Office of Undergraduate Research facilitates the distribution of several awards that help fund students' innovations. Once students establish themselves in research or creative environments, they are encouraged to apply for financial support.
Summer Research Award (due February 27) provides students with a personal stipend of $3,500 and up to $1,500 for supplies and operating expenses - this is an opportunity to make research your "job" this summer!
Simon Family Public Research Award (due April 3) Each $5,000 grant will give five students the chance to connect their passions for research with social change and justice. These are community-based research projects done in collaboration with a community partner (usually a non-profit).
Mini Grants and Travel Funding (rolling applications) When students are in need of a smaller amount of money ($500-$1,000) to start a new research or creative project, to present their research -or anything in between -then we strongly encourage them to apply for these grants when they are ready to go.
