Training
This program supports three predoctoral and three postdoctoral
fellowships.
Predoctoral fellows typically are full-time graduate students in the
UVM Department of Psychology. The HBPL is fully integrated with the
Department of Psychology; Dr. Higgins and Dr. Hughes hold joint
appointments in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology. The
training period will be 4 to 5 years resulting in a Ph.D. in
general/experimental or clinical psychology.
Postdoctoral fellows conduct independent research at one or more of the
sites that make up the HBPL (see
Facilities).
The training period is 2 to 3 years.
