My name is Deloria.  I created the DelAroma scented jar because I grew so weary of the mess that scented candles made of our home.  I never liked their open flame, dripping wax, soot, smoke, leaded wicks and high cost.  However, I did love their aromas and how they helped to eliminate pet odors and other offensive smells.  There had to be a better way - without all of these disadvantages! I began with a potpourri of the finest rose hips plus several delightfully scented fragrance oils.  I scented the rose hips with quality aroma oils and placed them inside mason jars, each with a small string of clear miniature lights.  The beautiful lights provided mild warmth to release the aroma of the scented oils without fire hazard, making it serve as a great night light, too!  Sadly, though, it didn't produce quite enough aroma to fill the entire room.   So my husband, John, drilled a hole near the bottom to install the lights.  Why?  Air was automatically drawn in as the warm, scented air rose out the top.  This process, called natural convection, proved to be the key to DelAroma's effectiveness!  It produced plenty of aroma without making a mess plus, if the wire was tugged, tipping was now unlikely.  But, how could I make it more attractive and decorative?  The solution was to top each scented jar with a handmade crocheted doily, tying it securely with an attractive ribbon!  We began offering them at local fairs and craft shows.  They were an instant hit!  DelAroma now comes in several sizes, shapes and colors ... and in ten heavenly scents!  We even offer six of our models in stylish, hand-painted versions for more demanding home décor needs.  Even your dormitory room will feel much more like your home with our new DormAroma line of scented mason jars.  DormAroma eliminates the ribbon and doilies, replacing them with hand crocheted beaded hemp and ventilating screw-on tin tops to become an excellent alternative to incense burners.  DormAroma was conceived as an alternative to scented candles and incense burners for the college dormitory crowd.
