High Risk Breast Program of VT (HRBP)

In an effort to help fund costs associated with the High Risk Breast Program, a network of scarf production was created. Local women have donated their time to knit scarves. By purchasing a scarf, you will contribute to our growing program and benefit women at increased risk for developing breast cancer. The proceeds from these scarves will fund the HRBP's educational newsletter, data collection costs, patient-related research costs, and program coordination costs.  Many thanks to those of you who have supported the HRBP by knitting or purchasing scarves. The Scarf Project has been a great success; we received several dozen donated scarves throughout 2007 and collected over $3,000 from the sale of these scarves this past Fall and Winter. We will continue collecting donated scarves throughout the year and will be selling scarves at Isis for Women’s Sample Sale on May 2nd and at the Stowe Weekend of Hope on May 3rd. If you would like to knit a scarf to donate to the HRBP, you can select from a variety of yarn we have at the Breast Care Center or you can donate the yarn you use.
