Summary:
 A dying man's final gasp leads Jim and Artie to one Monsieur Flory-
 French expatriate and rather sadistic bad guy.  Flory envisions himself as
 Napoleon's successor to Mexico and has concocted a wild scheme to keep the
 United States from interfering in the take-over.  To disable the main
 railroad lines would disable US troop movement, and to these ends Flory
 strives. Jim and Artie must free an entire Mexican village turned slaves and
 stop Flory's instrument of destruction before Mexico is once again under
 French rule.  A rather 'international' episode this- complete with an
 oriental, Mexicans, French, Americans, and even Germans (German
 shepherds...).

 Summary: Two brilliant scientists have developed an amazing new 
   explosive for the United States Government, but the 
   partnership is dissolved when one of the scientists
   makes alternative plans for the substance. West and 
   Gordon are called in to protect Professor Nielsen, 
   but fail.  The remaining partner, Doctor Miguelito 
   Quixote Loveless, implements a plan to destroy an
   entire city as revenge for what he feels are past 
   crimes against his family.  Our heroes have just a 
   short time to stop 'the little doctor' and find where
   he's planted the explosives.
 
                     Note: This is the good Doctor's first story (of 10).

 Summary:
 Someone has stolen plates from the Federal mint, and 
 West and Gordon are sent in to figure out who has 
 taken them, and why. Our heroes not only find
 themselves battling thugs and dodging flaming arrows, 
 but also fighting off ferocious animals. Can Jim and 
 Artie recover the plates and foil the villains' 
 plans without getting eaten alive?

Summary: 
 Our heroes have their orders: 'Find John Maxwell Avery and bring
 him back to face a senate committee- alive.'  The only problem is that Avery
 doesn't want to return, and many government agents have died trying to do
 just this.  Trying to avoid a political scandal, President Grant sends his
 two best men and disguised as traveling actors, Jim and Artie sneak into
 Avery's stronghold.  But getting out is MUCH more difficult....

Summary:
 Someone is responsible for the destruction of multiple ships out on
 the Mississippi, bring all river traffic to a halt.  Jim and Artie are the
 fifth and sixth Secret Service agents to be called in on this particular
 case, the previous four having been disposed of.  Dastardly dames and thugs
 galore stand in the way of our heroes as they tangle with a vindictive ship
 captain and his intricate plans.

Summary:
 The Franco-Prussian War is in full swing and a French scientist has
 discovered an amazing new metal- one which is incredibly volatile (among its
 many attributes) and could change the course of the war.  The 'Franconium'
 has come to America and agents West and Gordon are assigned guard duty
 during its stay in the French Embassy.  Unfortunately, the Franconium is
 stolen and our heroes must find the dangerous material before it's smuggled
 out of the country.

 Summary:
 When our heroes fail in their assignment to safely escort the
 Princess Gina Carlotta of Albania to the United States, Jim and Artie follow
 a trail of intrigue straight to the Albanian embassy and her brother, Gio. 
 A martial arts expert among his many talents, Gio has aspirations of power
 which he plans to achieve through a secret society of criminals.  As Jim and
 Artie investigate, their lives are put at risk numerous times, finally
 culminating in a battle of martial arts skills high above unsuspecting
 royalty at a political soiree.

Summary:
 Agents West and Gordon learn from General Harrison Ball
 that the Cheyenne Indians have threatened to kill 
 railroad laborers unless they receive a ransom of 
 $500,000 in gold- molded into railroad spikes. The
 daughter of one of the laborers informs our heroes that 
 her father received a death threat only a day before 
 he was murdered.  Suspecting a conspiracy, Jim and 
 Artie make themselves the bait in order to uncover the 
 truth behind these killings.

Summary:
 Jim is kidnapped and taken to a town that seems to be populated by

 inhabitants and he has a plan for Jim. Artie is paid a visit by Jim's 
 doppel-ganger and is fooled- or is he? Stay tuned to find out whether Jim
 and Artie can stop Loveless's warped scheme and escape with their lives..

 Summary:
 Jim goes undercover and joins a secret army of mercenaries who have
 plans to overthrow the US Army in the Southwest United States.  Headed by
 General Grimm, this band of both men and women have an immediate goal of
 blowing up the regional munitions depot. Artie infiltrates the mercenaries
 in disguise, but both he and Jim are discovered and Grimm issues an
 interesting ultimatum.....

Summary:
 A rash of earthquakes have plagued Wyoming, and Jim and Artie are
 called in.  Investigation of the fault line lead Artemus to suspect
 Ellensville is the next town to be demolished and our heroes try to warn the
 residents. Along the way they are captured by Professor Orkney Cadwallader-
 a scientist with a knack for creative utilization of nitroglycerine and a
 megalomania complex- with ultimate rule of Wyoming as his goal. Jim and
 Artie must escape and stop the crazy scientist before Wyoming is wiped off
 the map.

Summary:
 Jim and Artie come to the aid of a Governor of one of the western
 territories at his request- only upon their arrival the Governor appears to
 not remember the summons. Suspecting a doppelganger, Jim and Artie
 investigate and turn up a plot which involves an expensive art collection
 and embezzlement of hundreds of thousands of dollars from the state
 treasury.
 
Note: Governor Bradford and Miss Piecemeal first appear in TNt Wizard Shook
 the Earth (although it's not clear whether the Governor is *supposed* to be
 the same character.)

Summary:

 to start a war?

Summary:
 Mexican banditos terrorize US towns along the border and a
 frustrated town calls in the government to put an end to the raid.  West and
 Gordon enlist the town's sheriff, deputies, and even their long-suffering
 butler Tennyson as they hatch a plot to ensnare the greedy banditos.  This
 is one of two times Jim actually goes undercover using an alias (the other
 is in TNot Freebooters) and Bob Conrad keeps up with Ross Martin's 'Mojave
 Mike' character pretty darn well as he dons the personae of Frank Slade-
 crook extraordinaire.

Summary:
 In TNot Steel Assassin, Jim and Artie are called in to investigate
 the murder of the members of President Grant's old Army cadre.  Six down and
 two to go when our heroes follow a lead provided by the niece of one of the
 murdered men to Torres- a man more metal than flesh.  Embittered by an
 accident which left him a cripple, Torres plots the death of those he
 wrongly blames and Grant is next.  The agents must content with Torres'
 super-human strength and ability to use hypnosis to gain his ends, and a
 stubborn President who refuses to call off his public engagements while
 trying to determine the "steel assassin"'s plot and foil it.

Summary:
 Our heroes are on the case and trying to infiltrate a Chinese Opium
 smuggling ring when the situation becomes just a bit more complex.  Artemus
 is taken hostage by one of the two sects battling for power of the Hunan
 Province- aka Opium central, and Jim has no choice but to help that sect
 return the rightful heir to the Hunan throne to China.  But the other sect-
 The Crimson Dragon- isn't giving in that easy.  Their leader, an Englishman
 called Allenby-Smythe is also after the Princess and Jim must fight Smythe
 to get the Princess on board a ship to China before midnight- or Artie dies.

Summary:
 Guarding the Grand Emir of the Ottoman Empire proves to be no easy
 task as an 'assassin's club' sets their sights on the rather unpopular
 leader.  Between a rather determined club member and some disgruntled
 expatriates, our heroes are kept extremely busy saving El Emid.  The
 situation becomes critical when the Emir decides he no longer wants to be
 saved.....and Jim and Artie find themselves in grave danger.

Summary:
 "John Brown's body lies a moulderin' in the grave- but his soul goes
 marching on" goes the famous song, but more than Mr. Brown's spirit seems to
 be ambulatory in mountains of the Southwest Territory.  Investigating the
 disappearance of a large quantity of carosene and sulfur from federal
 government stores, Jim and Artie experience the fire demon in the mountains
 first hand and follow the trail to Harper's Ferry- 1870's version.  But this
 John Brown has a bit different goal in mind, complete with a brand new
 instrument of doom for our heroes to vanquish....

Summary:
 The State of California is broke, and the Governor resorts to
 accepting funds from shady characters in exchange for a credible position
 within society.  The price for this 'credibility' is large, 5 million
 dollars, and West and Gordon are sent as couriers for the funds.  But one by
 one California's benefactors are being killed by booby-trapped toys and
 their money confiscated.  Our heroes scramble to determine the source of
 these deadly toys, and once again find themselves up against the resilient
 and resourceful Doctor Miguelito Quixote Loveless.
