Biostatistics

Assistance with the statistical requirements of your study, from inception to interpretation, is available through the GCRC. The GCRC Biostatistician also serves on the Scientific Advisory Committee and reviews all applications requesting GCRC services.  All protocols submitted to the SAC are required to have power analysis.  It is strongly recommended that you meet with a statistician if you are not using the GCRC Biostatistician.

Services

• Analyze data and interpret results
• Assist in data collection and quality control efforts
• Coordinate access to other statistical resources
• Develop statistical analysis plans
• Provide expertise regarding experimental design issues
• Provide training in statistics
• Randomization plans
• Review of all protocols submitted to the GCRC Advisory Committee
• Sample size calculations
• Support grant and manuscript preparation
