The Field Naturalist Program
Giving Field Naturalists the tools they need to move the world
Master's Project
The Master's Project is designed in collaboration with a regional, national, or international conservation organization. Field research spans the summer and, on occasion, into the second fall semester. Students work closely with an advisor, a studies committee, and the sponsor to ensure that projects are scientifically sound, intellectually challenging, and ecologically relevant.
The Master's Project is an integrative study that spans and connects several different disciplines. Unlike an open-ended Master's thesis, the Field Naturalist Master's project has defined implementation and completion dates.
