Writing and Information Literacy in the Disciplines (WILD)

The best writing/information literacy outcomes are rooted in the values and practices of each discipline, presented to students in the major via courses. The WILD project provides resources for the department to identify, refine, and implement its disciplinary outcomes. WILD provides a collaborative structure to help a department:

1. Clarify priorities and learning outcomes in writing and information literacy

2. Develop a plan for implementing and assessing those outcomes

In 2013-14, the departments of Anthropology, CDAE, Romance Languages and Linguistics, and Nursing are piloting WILD with the help of the Writing in the Disciplines and the Bailey Howe Library.
