E. COLI VIOLATIONS AT INDIVIDUAL VERMONT STATE BEACHES

Thirty-one beaches at twenty-nine state parks were sampled in 1996-1999 except Maidstone was not sampled in 1997 nor D.A.R. in 1999.  Eight beaches--Boulder, Branbury, Camp Plymouth, Carmi camp a, Little River, North Hero, St. Catherine, and Stillwater--have had no violations of the Vermont E. coli standard. There were violations at 8 beaches in 1996, 11 beaches in 1997, 12 beaches in 1998, and 8 beaches in 1999.
