The Special Education Program strives to meet the needs of educators
who serve students with diverse strengths, needs, talents, and
abilities. Our goal is to provide educators with knowledge and skills
in working with students, parents, teachers, administrators, human
service providers, and employers. We seek to promote the success of all
students through creating a collaborative, strengths-based climate in
which students, their families, and school staff feel cared for,
respected, and supported.
The Special Education Program is dedicated to the belief that all
students have worth and dignity and that schools and communities can
create environments in which all students achieve personal excellence.
Program course work has been designed to meet the needs of educators
who serve students with diverse strengths, needs, talents and abilities.
