The Undergraduate Program in Secondary Education

Our program is known for guiding committed students to becoming outstanding teachers for learners in grades 7 to 12. The program's excellent reputation has been built through effective partnerships with teachers and administrators in Vermont schools - collaborations that have improved those schools and supported the professional development of our interns and their teachers.  Courses and field experiences provide opportunities for prospective teachers to develop, demonstrate, and document their ability to make a difference in the lives of students.

The program offers a bachelor's degree in secondary education licensure. The program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
