Requirements

The State of Vermont requires a demonstration of teaching competence before program graduates can qualify for a teaching license.  Throughout your program, you will develop a portfolio that details what you have learned and what you can do as a teacher.  Each semester,  you will show examples of how you are gaining knowledge and skills that lead to being a qualified teacher.  During your junior practicum and student teaching internship, you will apply your knowledge and skill as you teach and add to your portfolio rich examples of your students' work and learning as further evidence of your professional competence.
