Physical Education Program
About the Physical Education Program at UVM
The Physical Education program at the University of Vermont centers around the theme of Moving and Learning. The program provides students with a solid background in the profession of physical education. This program is unique compared to others of its kind due to the close interaction between the faculty and students on a daily basis. There is always one-to-one attention among the faculty and students. Students never feel just like another number. A student in the Physical Education program will begin fieldwork during his/her sophomore year at UVM. The program combines classroom and gymnasium instruction and integration.
The faculty of the Physical Education program are looking for candidates who have a love and revitalizing energy for interacting with children. Applicants must be willing to make the educational experience fun and exciting. It is important to keep in mind that all levels (PreK-12) of education are equally important when teaching and even when learning about it.
