Throughout your professional preparation, you will be challenged to link theory with practice while participating in school internships. Professional course work begins during your first year, with an introduction to teaching and learning and the application of information technology in schools. In the second and third years, you'll participate in a sequence of professional courses linked with supervised field experiences in child development, literacy, and inquiry. These experiences culminate in a full-semester teaching internship during your final year. You will have many opportunities to observe and practice in supervised settings in rural, suburban, and inner-city schools.
Your journey with the College of Education and Social Services can begin today. Explore our programs, and start the application process now.
