Program Requirements 

The 30-credit Master of Education Curriculum and Instruction Program is designed to provide advanced study for professional educators, with a particular focus on preK-12 schooling.

The 30-credit program breaks down to the following requirements:

Education Foundations

2 - Choose 1 course from the following: EDFS 209,  EDFS 347 or EDFS 380 or other approved courses, e.g. (Research in the Digital Age EDCI 3xx)
Choose 1 EDFS Graduate Level Course

General Curriculum
1 - Choose 1 course from the following (EDLP 336, EDCI 333, EDCI 363 or EDCI 321)
Specialization 6 - see specializations below
Elective 1 - course
Optional:  Master's Thesis The Thesis replaces 2 of the 3 credit courses (total 6 credits)


The M.Ed. Curriculum & Instruction Program enables students to pursue a specialization in one of the following areas:

Focus areas are subject to change with little or no notice, and course availability is dependent on a number of variables, including enrollment.
