Master of Education: Curriculum and Instruction Program
The Curriculum and Instruction Master of Education Program is a 30 credit program. The program is designed to develop leadership in educational settings such as teaching, curriculum theory, curriculum development, and related areas of research for public/private elementary and secondary school settings. Work at the graduate level draws upon other divisions of the University, thus enabling the College to develop strong programs of professional education, which include academic offerings in the various teaching fields in elementary and secondary education.Areas of specialization within the C&I Program include:

Library Media
Mathematics
Middle Level Education
Multicultural/Global
Reading and Literacy
Program areas of specialization are developed to provide a
comprehensive background in
fields basic to instruction and curriculum development as well as the
application of that knowledge to a specialized field.
Specializations include courses aimed at the examination and improvement of instructional practices in elementary and secondary schools, and understanding of curriculum theory and the application of curriculum development. Opportunities for independent study and research are encouraged in all specializations.
