The University of Vermont Recital Hall

The UVM Recital Hall is a modern 300 seat hall which is regarded as one of the most acoustically superb spaces in the state of Vermont. The Recital Hall is located on UVM's beautiful Redstone Campus on South Prospect Street in Burlington. We present chamber music, solo recitals, and other small folk, jazz, and classical events in this intimate comfortable venue. All seating is general admission.

Directions:

From Interstate 89, take exit 14 West towards downtown Burlington & UVM. As you pass through the “Campus District,” proceed to the left lane. At the intersection of South Prospect Street and Main Street (the University Green is on your right), turn left onto South Prospect Street. Continue through the second stop sign. Immediately turn left onto the Redstone Circle. The Recital Hall is at the base of the circular driveway.  

Parking for Recital Hall Events:

Gutterson Parking Garage is a short, well-lit walk to the hall. Please access this lot from East Avenue (follow signs for Patrick Gym) or Main Street (eastbound only).

University Heights Parking Lots The Honors College Building is located at 50 University Heights, next to the Living and Learning Complex. Take Exit 14W into Burlington. Stay in far-right lane. Just past Sheraton and stop light, bear right at East Avenue/Spear Street exit, in lane for Spear Street. Take immediate left around jug handle, go through traffic light, which will take you onto Spear Street. Turn right approximately 1/4 mile into the Patrick Gym entrance. Enter the Gutterson Parking Garage to your left and park there. Follow the pedestrian path up the hill and then to the right, away from Patrick Gym. The Honors College is located in University Heights, the second building to your left.

Redstone Campus via South Prospect Street.

  1. South Prospect Street (unmetered city parking on street)
  2. Robinson Hall (first right off of Redstone Campus Circle)
  3. Blundell House/322 South Prospect (first right off circle after hall)
  4. Redstone Lodge (last right off circle before South Prospect Street

Parking in the Redstone Circle is prohibited: you will be ticketed or towed.

Authorized parking tags are required for student residence lots or handicapped/tow zones.

The University of Vermont Ira Allen Chapel

Ira Allen Chapel is a 900 seat venue located on the Main Campus of UVM on University Row. Ira Allen Chapel is named after the founder of the University and was built in 1925 in the Colonial Revival style. Designed in the form of a Latin cross by the architectural firm of McKim, Mead and White, the Chapel was originally used for religious services. It is now the site of concerts, lectures and University convocations. All seating is general admission.

Directions and location: Ira Allen Chapel is the northernmost structure on University Row. It is on the corner of Colchester Avenue and the UVM Green.

From Interstate 89, take exit 14 West towards downtown Burlington & UVM. Bear Right onto East Avenue. At the 2nd stoplight, turn left onto Colchester Avenue. Pass the hospital on your left and at the next light turn left into the parking lot. The Chapel is at the Western edge of the lot – you will see the white bell tower.  Parking is available in this lot after 6:00pm.

Alternative Parking for Ira Allen Chapel:

Continue straight to the next light on Colchester Avenue and Prospect Street. Turn left onto Prospect Street and an immediate right into the University Health Care (UHC, also known as FAHC) lot which is open for our use after 6:00pm.

Parking is also available in any UVM lot that is NOT zoned residential or handicapped after 6:00 pm (please avoid these lots or you may be towed).  Authorized parking tags are required for student residence lots or handicapped/tow zones.

The Lounge at University Heights North
The Honors College is a residential honors program that offers an intensely focused, academically challenging environment for some of the university's most outstanding undergraduate students.

The Honors College aims to become an intellectual hub, encouraging scholarly debate and enriching the campus' academic and social climates.  With a new and inviting residence hall in the heart of the UVM Campus, it opens its doors to the broader campus community by sponsoring lectures, symposia, reading groups, and informal gatherings with Lane Series artists.

Directions and Parking: The Honors College Building is located at 50 University Heights, next to the Living and Learning Complex.  Take Exit 14W into Burlington, remain in right lane for East Avenue. At the next traffic signal, turn left onto Carrigan Drive. Proceed straight through the next traffic signal at Beaumont Drive. Take next left after the water tower. Visitor parking is at the parking meters on the left. The Honors College is located in the University Heights building, a short walk away across Main Street. Use the pedestrian crossing signal at Main Street/University Heights.


The Flynn Theatre
For our large scale events like operas and plays, we use the 1450 seat Flynn Theatre, a beautifully restored art deco venue in the heart of downtown Burlington. Seating at the Flynn Theatre is assigned with both orchestra and balcony sections.

Directions and Parking:

From Interstate 89, take exit 14 West towards downtown Burlington & UVM.  This becomes Burlington's Main Street. The Flynn is on Main Street, approx. 2 miles west of the highway exit.  Please see the Flynn’s website for parking information.

Saint Michael's College Chapel & Theatre

Saint Michael’s College is a Catholic, liberal arts college founded in 1904 by the Society of Saint Edmund, a French order of Catholic priests. Located just minutes from Burlington, we are fortunate to be able to present events at two of the College’s venues; the College Chapel and the Theatre.

Directions:

From Interstate 89, take exit 15 and bear right onto Route 15.  Proceed to the left lane. At the first stoplight, turn left into the College parking lot. The Theatre is within the McCarthy Arts Center directly to your right. The Chapel is a short walk across the Green to your right. 

Parking:

There is a large lot in between the McCarthy Arts Center and the Ross Sports Center that is available for the Lane Series after 6:00 pm.  Please pay attention to restricted areas.

The University of Vermont Fleming Museum

The Fleming Museum, located on the UVM Campus next to Fletcher Allen Hospital has brought world-class art and diverse visual culture to the University of Vermont and to the people of northern New England since its opening in 1931. For our presentation of Nosferatu, we’ll be using the Fleming’s 200 seat theater, located in the basement of the museum. Please use the front door of the museum (facing the internal quad with outdoor sculptures, not Colchester Avenue).


Directions and Parking


From Interstate 89, take exit 14 West towards downtown Burlington & UVM. Bear Right onto East Avenue after the Sheraton. At the 2nd stoplight, turn left onto Colchester Avenue. Pass the hospital on your left and turn left into the parking lot before the next light. The Museum is on the east side of the lot. Parking is available in this lot after 6:00pm.

Continue straight to the next light at the corner of Colchester Avenue and Prospect Street. Turn left onto Prospect Street and an immediate right into the University Health Care (UHC, also known as FAHC) lot which is open for our use after 6:00pm.
