"His dynamic nuance, clarity of phrasing, simplicity and nobility of expression made the familiar movement seem brand new." Santa Fe Reporter
Violinist Soovin Kim won first prize at the Paganini International Competition when he was only 20 years old. Since then, this Plattsburgh native, and alumni of the Vermont Youth Orchestra, has emerged as a mature artist equally gifted in concerto, recital, and chamber music repertoire. He'll be joined by his friend from the Marlboro Festival, pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute. Known for her deep musical and emotional commitment to a wide range of repertoire, Ieva performs regularly in the US and Europe. Critics have described her as possessing "razor-sharp intelligence and wit" (The Washington Post) and as "elegant and engaging" (The Wall Street Journal).
