One-time or recurring service opportunities, exploring different issues and needs in the community	Join the Volunteers In Action (VIA) student organization at UVM, in which there are over 15 service programs to choose from Participate in the Residents Involved in Service Experiences (RISE) program in your residence hall Participate in a Community Service TREK project Join one of UVM's Alternative Break programs, such as Alternative Spring Break, Alternative Winter Break, or Alternative Weekends
You have already had several positive experiences with serivce and wish to do more. You want to build on knowledge and experiences through classes, leadership, and service work.	Take a service-learning course that focuses on social justice If you have Work-Study, consider working at a non-profit organization Get an internship through the Service-Learning Intership Program in Career Services Become a leader in Volunteers In Action (VIA), Community Service TREK, or a social justice organization on campus
