Functional Usage - Basics

The functional usage of a room is determined by the activities performed in the room

All activities performed in the room should be considered and evaluated. Each activity should occur with some regularity while the room is being used.

Room functional usage must be stated in specific percentage terms and should reflect usage for the appropriate active months in the fiscal year.

Functional classification of space must be assigned to one of UVM's approved space usage functions. These function values are different from the function values used in the Peoplesoft chart strings.

Functional usage for the room must total 100%

Retain any documentation such as logs, room assignment lists, and interview notes used to assign functional usage to a room.
