Space and Movable Equipment Inventory  - Instructions, process and definitions

  • Training classes available for FY19 Space and Equipment Inventory (2/1/19) - The annual Space and Movable Equipment inventory starts on April 15, 2019. Attend a training session by registering through Professional Development and Training.  New departmental personnel assigned to conduct the inventory are required to obtain training prior to using the FAMIS Self-Service system.  In addition, if you have previously completed the Space and Movable Equipment Inventory for your unit but have not received training within the past three years we strongly suggest that you sign up for one of the sessions identified in the link below.  The results of the Quality Assessment indicated that a periodic training session for everyone completing the Space and Movable Equipment Inventory would be beneficial.
  • FY18 Space and Equipment Inventory (7/11/18) - The completion deadline for the University's annual space and equipment inventory was June 30, 2018. Please ensure that your designated inventory administrators complete and certify their space and movable equipment inventory as soon as possible (if they have not done so already). Department's are required to run space and equipment reports from the BI Publisher Reports Server to conduct QA on their inventory results prior to submitting the certification form. Reference the FAMIS Training Guide for detailed instructions.
  • Training classes available for FY18 Space and Equipment Inventory (2/20/18) - The annual Space and Movable Equipment inventory starts on April 16, 2018. Attend a training session by registering through Professional Development and Training.  New departmental personnel assigned to conduct the inventory are required to obtain training prior to using the FAMIS Self-Service system.  In addition, if you have previously completed the Space and Movable Equipment Inventory for your unit but have not received training within the past three years we strongly suggest that you sign up for one of the sessions identified in the link below.  The results of the Quality Assessment indicated that a periodic training session for everyone completing the Space and Movable Equipment Inventory would be beneficial.
  • BI Publisher is now New Reporting tool for Space Reports (8/7/17) - The Space Reports publishing tool has transitioned from Crystal Reports to BI Publisher. The login page for BI publisher is at https://bi1.uvm.edu:7503/xmlpserver/ and the Space Training Guide job aid (Part 3) has been updated. If you have further questions after referencing the BI Publisher job aid, please contact Michael Richards in Campus Planning Services.  Crystal Reports is no longer available for use.
  • New Reporting tool for space reports will be BI Publisher (6/8/17) - The Crystal Reports reporting tool utilized for the inventory will only be available through June 30th, 2017. After June 30th, UVM will be transitioning to BI Publisher for all space reporting in FAMIS.  A new job aid will be provided; however, if you complete your inventory before June 30th, 2017, you will avoid having to transition to BI Publisher for FY17.
