Post–Master's Certificate Program (Primary Health/Nurse Practitioner)
This program is designed for Registered Nurses holding a Master's Degree in Nursing. Upon successful completion of the course requirements students can earn a Post-Master's Certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner or a Family Nurse Practitioner. Individuals will then be eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner certification exam.
Applying
Admission to the post-master's certificate program is competitive and contingent upon space availability. The application deadline is April 15. Application for admission to the certificate program requires submission of the following:
- Completed application form (pdf)
- Official graduate transcript
- Copy of current APRN/RN license or evidence of eligibility for RN license in Vermont
- Copy of APRN certification (if appropriate)
- Current resume/CV
- $50 non-refundable application fee made payable to the Department of Nursing
