Graduate Nursing Programs
For the Master of Science in Nursing program: There will be two more entering classes for the Master of Science in Nursing program. The expectation for the last M.S. class is that the students will complete their program on a full-time basis, with the expected completion December, 2016.
- April 15, 2013 (coursework begins in the fall of 2013)
- April 3, 2014 (coursework begins in the fall of 2014)
Application Deadlines
After the April 3, 2014 deadline, individuals wishing to pursue primary care/nurse practitioner will have the opportunity to do so in the doctoral program. Visit the Master of Science in Nursing page for more information on the Master's degree curriculum and admission requirements.
For the Master's Entry in Nursing program: The deadline for admission to the last planned MEPN class was January 15, 2013. The Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) will become the Doctor Entry Program in Nursing (DEPN). Visit the MEPN page for more information on the application process and curriculum for the MEPN program.
Doctor of Nursing Practice
The Doctor of Nursing Practice program (D.N.P.) is planned to begin in fall 2015. There will be two entry options: One for registered nurses with a baccalaureate or higher degree (in nursing or another field), and another for post master's applicants who want to pursue the D.N.P. Post-master's nurse practitioners wishing to complete a DNP may begin part-time study in the spring of 2014.

Doctor Entry Program in Nursing
The Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) will become the Doctor Entry Program in Nursing (DEPN). This accelerated alternative entry program is for those who have not graduated from a nursing program, and who hold a baccalaureate or higher degree in another field.
The anticipated application deadline is Dec. 1, 2013 for admission to the program beginning fall 2014.
The first DEPN program students are planned to begin their primary care courses fall 2015.
Master of Science - Clinical Nurse Leader
The Master of Science program for the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) will begin in the fall of 2013. The program will prepare nurses for horizontal leadership positions through which evidenced-based care for groups of patients will be managed.
The application deadline is Aug. 1, 2013 for admission to the program beginning fall 2013 and April 3, 2014 for admission to the program beginning fall 2014.
