The Eleanor M. Luse Center for Communication:
Speech, Language and Hearing
About the Center
The team involved in your care includes two licensed audiologists who provide hearing assessment and intervention services (including hearing aid fittings and follow-up). We also have two audiology assistants who are available for on-site, rapid assistance to patients for in-house hearing aid repairs, general problem solving and inquiries. The five licensed speech-language pathologists on our staff work closely with patients to provide outstanding evaluations and treatment.
Because we are the primary teaching facility for the Communication Sciences & Disorders program, we train student clinicians who may be directly or indirectly involved in your care. These teaching activities may take place during your visits. We appreciate your willingness to participate in this process so that our graduates will enter the profession with the ability to provide high quality services to the community. The Eleanor M. Luse Center's mission is realized as we work to provide the highest quality care with a strong focus on education for our patients and their families. We believe that this educational component, provided by experts and teachers in evaluation and treatment, results in the most effective outcomes for each person we see.
