First-Year Advising Program

Have a question about chemistry labs? What about meal plans? It's all fair game! As first-year students' primary advisors, the student services team helps students transition to college and provides guidance regarding academics, extracurricular activities, navigating the UVM campus and more. Beginning in the second year, each student is assigned a faculty advisor.

First-Year Advising

Students are welcome to stop into the Office of Student Services in Rowell 002 Monday - Friday anytime from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Appointments are available. CNHS first-year students are assigned academic advisors in their student account accessible through the MyUVM portal. Students may email an advisor to set up an appointment or call the Student Services Office at (802) 656-3858.

NH 50: Approaches to Health

Activities include:

  • CNHS Faculty & Professional Panel
  • A talk with CNHS Dean Patty Prelock
  • Presentation from staff at the Center for Cultural Pluralism
  • Introduction to database searches at the Bailey/Howe Library
