Dr. Lomond Garners Best Poster Presentation Award

Dr. Karen Lomond earned the "Best Poster Presentation" award from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Section on Research for her presentation titled "Inter-muscular patterns of muscle activation following 10-week treatment for chronic low back pain." The study was authored by Lomond KV, Hitt JR, DeSarno MJ, Bunn JY, Jacobs JV and Henry SM.

Posters were primarily judged by the scientific content in the abstract and then by the author's ability to present the poster to a judge. Karen presented this work at the APTA Combined Sections meeting in Chicago in early February. Karen is a post-doctoral associate in the Human Motion Analysis Lab in the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Science at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She works with Dr. Sharon Henry.
