Professor Kelly Tourville is a nationally certified and Vermont state licensed Athletic Trainer (ATC). She received her B.S. in health education and athletic training and M.Ed. in interdisciplinary design from the University of Vermont. She is the Athletic Training Education Program Clinical Coordinator, and teaches courses throughout the AT curriculum. Prior to returning to UVM after completing her undergraduate degree, Professor Tourville spent eight years working in an outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation clinic specializing in sports medicine in Colchester, VT. She is an active member of both the Vermont Association of Athletic Trainers (VAAT) and Eastern Athletic Trainers Association (EATA), and sits on the Academic Scholarship and Career Assistance Committees for these organizations. While at UVM she has worked directly with division one varsity athletes on the women’s swimming and diving teams, as well as the men’s and women’s alpine and Nordic ski teams. Professor Tourville was the medical coordinator and Certified Athletic Trainer for the NCAA National Collegiate Men’s and Women’s Skiing Championships hosted by UVM in 2005. For the current academic year, she is serving as Interim Athletic Training Education Program Director.
