Dear Members of the Senior Class,

The Senior Class Council would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you to your senior year at UVM. Cold weather, finals, job hunting and resume writing has made May 23 seem far away, however graduation will arrive sooner than you can imagine. It is important for every member of the class of 1999 to realize that this is our final year and the last chance to take advantage of all college has to offer.

After years of hard work, you are ready to enjoy the rewards! The Senior Class Council is working very hard at generating events that develop spirit and build class unity. The events that have been held so far this semester, the Senior Kick Off, Semi-Formal at Sha-Na-Na’s and the Halloween Party have all been hugely successful. The best is yet to come, and next semester promises to be filled with great events. BUT, all of this celebrating can not go on without YOU!! This is your time to get involved and we encourage every senior to attend the events.

In case you had not heard, a ropes course was elected as the Class of 1999’s Gift. We are very excited about this and can not wait to start building. With your help and support, we can make this a gift that will be thoroughly enjoyed by the entire University and the Burlington Community.

So Please, if nothing else, enjoy your senior year. Revel in senior unity and challenge yourself to take advantage of the limited time left at UVM

Sarah McDowell

President, Class of 1999
