Giving Opportunities

  • The College of Education and Social Services Fund (CESS Fund)
Making annual gifts to the CESS Fund for unrestricted giving provides the Dean and the College the flexibility to respond to evolving needs year by year. It’s essential for the Dean to fill gaps or provide initial funding so that programs can reach their full potential. Funds are directed to areas where resources might otherwise be limited. Primarily to enhance CESS student opportunities and programs and to strengthen faculty.

  • Students conducting research in field

The College of Education and Social Services Scholarship Fund (CESS Scholarship Fund)
This fund provides annual scholarship assistance to students enrolled in the college and makes awards across college programs to support a wide variety of students excelling in their studies. Annual gifts from alumni, parents, and friends provide the College of Education and Social Services with scholarship funding that is awarded each year to offset the financial burden for students allowing them to focus on their academic pursuits and helping to ensure that they have an outstanding educational experience.

  • The Teacher Education Scholarship Fund (CESS Teacher Education Scholarship Fund)
This fund provides annual scholarship assistance to students pursuing a degree in one of the Teacher Education Programs; Art, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary, Middle Level, Music, Physical Education and Secondary Education. These students are committing their careers to making a difference in our education systems and gifts from alumni, parents, and friends supports their efforts to leave their academic training ready to make an impact in the lives of others.

Examples include establishing named endowed scholarships or professorships, program development and classroom/facilities support.
