Dr. Jim Bell presents a fascinating tour of the red planet through the eyes of Spirit and Opportunity, the intrepid Mars Rovers.
Dr. Bell is the lead scientist for the Pancam color imaging system on the NASA Mars Exploration Rovers Spirit and Opportunity, and is the author of a book titled Postcards from Mars, a pictorial history of the rover missions. Bell is also a member of the science teams of the NASA Mars Pathfinder, NEAR, Mars '01 Odyssey Orbiter, Mars '05 Reconnaissance Orbiter, and 2009 Mars Science Laboratory rover mission teams.

*The Mars Rovers use microprocessors based on IBM's Power Architecture. IBM has "100% market share on Mars," with Power Architecture processors running inside the satellites orbiting the Red Planet, the Rovers and in the Mars Phoenix which is scheduled to land on Mars in spring 2008.
