Mark Zydel serves as the Business Development Director of McFarland-Johnson's (MJ) New England Region where he manages the transportation engineering business development program for the Burlington, VT, Concord, NH, and New London, CT offices.
Mark has worked throughout New England for the past 20 years including extensive work for the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Mark's responsibilities with MJ include promoting professional development and new Civil Engineering technologies, mentoring staff to focus on innovative solutions and client satisfaction, and developing internal professional and technical training programs. Mark's engineering career began in Pittsburgh, PA, with HDR Engineering, subsequent to graduating with a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mark is a registered professional structural engineer and currently serves on the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Hampshire (ACEC-NH) Board of Directors, the Pembroke, NH Town Planning Board, the Pembroke New Hampshire Roads Committee, and the University of Vermont's College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS) Board of Advisors.
Mark lives in Pembroke, NH with his wife Michele. He studies jazz guitar and enjoys golfing, landscaping, and music.
