Bernie received a BS in Physics from Adelphi University Dowling College and he attended CW post-graduate school of business in a non-degree MBA program. He has served in the military and done a tour of duty in Vietnam.
With over 30 years of manufacturing and development experience in electronics, he founded Tolmie, Inc. a consulting company for technology based manufacturing companies that does independent and government sponsored research in electrical and fiber-optic interconnect technologies. Prior to this, after leaving Simmonds Precision, Bernie founded two startup manufacturing companies in Vermont: Joslyn Defense Systems in Shelburne, and Vermont Electromagnetic Corporation in Williston. These manufacturing companies employed approximately 300.
Bernie has been a member of the CEMS Board of Advisors since the Fall of 1998.
