Distinguished Visiting Scholars and Artists $2.5 Million

Visits by distinguished scholars and artists are part of the intellectual and cultural life of any great university community. Bringing to campus scholars, scientists, artists, and writers who are acknowledged internationally as preeminent in their disciplines enriches the academic environment for students and faculty and at the same time showcases the exceptional caliber of UVM faculty, students and programs. The University is seeking endowments for visiting distinguished lectureships to represent the best that is thought and known in disciplines across the campus, including endowment support for the Dan and Carole Burack President's Distinguished Lecture Series. Visiting artists and scholars will interact with campus and community in a variety of ways during their short-term residencies, providing extraordinary opportunities to engage with the intellectual leaders of our time.
