Naming Opportunities 		President’s Unrestricted Fund for Excellence $13.5 Million

The University of Vermont has always benefited from the generosity of alumni, parents, friends, corporations, and foundations. Their annual giving constitutes the second-largest contribution (after the state appropriation) to that portion of the University’s operating budget—roughly one-third of the total—not funded by tuition and fees. Annual giving is vital to filling the gap.

Annual giving to the UVM Fund has grown impressively since 1999. It is imperative that annual giving continue to grow, and unrestricted gifts are particularly important because they provide the resources and flexibility to direct additional funds to areas of strategic importance and need. Unrestricted giving directly assists students by opening doors to scholarships, funding innovations in teaching and research, augmenting student activities, and supporting pace-setting technology.

Our goal is to raise more than $2 million annually in contributions to the President’s Unrestricted Fund for Excellence.
