Geog 95: Watersheds

Hillslope Stability and Mass Wasting

The pysical landscape is constantly changing as external forces rock and soil.  The progressive lowering of the land surface, known as denudation, takes place through a combination of weathering, mass wasting and erosion.  We'll examine the importance of these processes within a watershed context, exploring the role of climate and landuse on denudation rates.
