The research paper will describe your data, the method of analysis, and will present your results. The paper will be written as a journal article and will therefore include a brief introduction and discussion. The research paper will be due in my office mailbox (Department of Plant Biology office, 1st floor, Marsh Life Science Building) during the scheduled final exam period.
IMPORTANT: Please turn in a short paragraph describing your proposed research topic by 2 Oct.
The research report should be written as a scientific paper and should include citations. The research papers should NOT be longer than a total of 10 pages including ALL components of the paper. Your grade will be lowered by 5% for each page over the limit. There should be a short introduction that puts the topic into context and discussion that interprets the results. The papers should be double spaced with a 12 point font. Abstracts are not required. Both style and references should follow the standard format for the journal Ecology.
