The mission of the CDC is “To promote health and quality of life by preventing and controlling disease, injury, and disability.” It is a government agency that provides credible information to enhance health decisions. Therefore, I believe information collected from the CDC is credible.

This website provides information from the world’s largest medical library, the National Library of Medicine. It has extensive information from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other trusted source on over 650 diseases and conditions. Information goes through a selection process following certain guidelines in order to appear on the website. NIH is also a government agency. This information is credible.
