Disclaimer

            There is still a great deal that is unknown about the Marshes of Iraq, because of the situation of the country and the amount that they were altered through the years.  There has been little research on many of the ecological functions and natural history of the marshes.  In the future there will be more information gathered through the restoration effort and research projects that have begun and will begin with the return of the water to the marshes.
